The adverbs of manner tell us how things happen. Most of the adverbs are made by adding ly to the adjectives:

UNIT 14. Future forms and tv shows.

There are various ways  of talking about future.   Going to is the most common way to talk about future plans and intentions. It is usually used when you have already deciede  about a future action.


What are you going to do  ?

I'm          going    to   have  a party            
You're    going    to   wash the dishes.
He's        going    to    study abroad
She's       going    to    watch TV
It's          going    to    be easy
We're     going    to    take salsa lessons.
They're  going    to    buy a new house.

UNIT 15. Present perfect/simple past, in a restaurant


SIMPLE PAST. This is a tense to talk about completed actions at a specific past time

I went to USA last year.    Yo fuì  a Estados Unidos

PRESENT PERFECT:  This is a tense to talk about completed actions in time up to now. We don't
focus on when.

I have been to USA     or    I've been to USA     or     I haven't been to USA  --Yo he ido......

I have gone to USA                        I've gone.....                 
You have eaten  too                       You've eaten...     
He has driven trucks                      He's driven...     
She has read many books              She's read...    
It has been rainy                             It's been...  
We have learned a lot                    We've learned...   
They have swum in competitions   They've swum... 

We usually use questions in simple past to get extra information about a life experience.

Have you ever been to Acapulco ?                  Yes, I have.

When did you go ?                                      I went to Acapulco last month ?
Who did you go with ?                                 I went with my family
What did you do there ?                              I swam and went to night clubs.
What did you eat and drink ?                      I eat seafood and drank beer

UNIT 16. Tenses review, questions with prepositions, prepositions of movement, places in a city and giving directions.


Simple Present. We use it to talk about facts and routines. 
I study English                        I don't study English.                     Do you study English ?
She plays the guitar               She doesn't play the guitar         Does she play the guitar ?


Present continuous. We use it to talk about  activities in progress now
I am watching tv                         I am not watching TV                Are you watching tv ?
He is cooking                             He is not cooking                      Is he cooking ? 


Simple Past.  We use it to talk about actions at a specific past time
I went to Acapulco                     I didn't go to Acapulco               Did you go to Acapulco ?


Present Perfect. We use it to talk about completed actions in time up to now
I have eaten too much today       I haven't eaten too much          Have you eaten too much ?
He has gone to USA                    He hasn't gone to USA             Has he gone to USA ?


Future going to.   We use it to talk about plans and intentions
I am going to work  tomorrow     
I am not going to work tomorrow
