Class May 23-UNIT 15

EXPERIENCES

In this unit, we are going to talk about life experiences. To talk about life experiences we usually use Present Perfect and   Simple Past.

SIMPLE PAST. This is a tense to talk about completed actions at a specific past time

I went to USA last year.    Yo fuì  a Estados Unidos

PRESENT PERFECT:  This is a tense to talk about completed actions in time up to now. We don't
focus on when.

I have been to USA     or    I've been to USA     or     I haven't been to USA  --Yo he ido......

As we can see, a main difference between simple and present perfect is that we don't focus on when.
